First of all, Marcel heel veel sterkte!
It's a shame these people even exist, but would be even worse if they get away with it.

After reading this thread, I'm wondering what this individual is planning on doing whenever somebody is mailing him?
do not contact me again thru ebay or othere i will take the steps to see it wont happen again
So if you mail the guy directly without using ebay, he will take steps to see it doesn't happen again? What's he going to do, come over an wreck my laptop? What a thickhead!

How about phone call or email address? Anyone want those? I have arranged to buy the other case from him and pick it up directly. He has stated that he bought the account from someone and inherited the headache and that Marcel's cabinet is stuck in customs in his country. They are not allowed to import Oakley Display pieces there so that's the reason the cabinet is sitting there. He also said it is on it's way back here, and he will make good to him if and when it shows up, but to me sounds like a line of crap. Also, he said he has 900+ Oakleys and is a huge collector, but can't nail down a pair of Leather Mars??? That seems easy enough for a collector of 1 let alone 900+. I have all the info though

You bought the case?? Are you going to meet him?
This story about him buying the account seems ficticious but could be checked easily enough, Marcel has his real name

all someone needs to do is call him and arrange it as my dad since he thinks he is coming to get the cabinet Sunday in a semi truck driving cross country...You can speak with the local authorities, see what can be done, and corner his ass point blank!!! Not sure anything can take place that quick, but I have him on the hook so far, and he isn't off...Also offered me all of the display stuff inside. Stands, racks, lens display, etc!!

The hole in his story is that Marcel didnt give him his Aruba addy. The scammer was only supposed to have it sent to Miami where his friend would ship it to him. He's a snake, dont listen to him.

Josh, are you really buying the case from him or just messing with him, Im a little unclear as to what is going on.

no, I was messing with him to keep him on the hook while maybe someone could contact the authorities and surprise him at the time of the pickup. If he were in So Cal, I would have no problem meeting the guy and getting your tower, but he is 1500 miles or so from me (maybe more, maybe less) and I am not making it that direction anytime soon.

Wow.. from reading that email it's hard to imagine it's a scam. I mean he's obviously gone to great lengths to make it seem genuine, with all those ref numbers, dates, company names and $ values etc. Sets a scary precedent indeed and just goes to show that depsite all the technology, trust is still a key factor in online business.

Obviosuly I'm no expert on how things work over in the U.S. but if any of you guys try to approach him in person wouldn't that open the door for him to take legal action against you? Leave alone that he could be a proper nut-job with a 12gauge under his car seat :/

not when you show up with the local authorities if you play your cards right and take all necessary steps prior to doing it.

am not bring this thread back from the dead to get or trying to get your help, i do know i was cheated, and i can't a way to resolve this...

I just want to point out that that he said to josh that "he" bought the account. wierd is that the adress hasn't changed, maybe he gave josh the wife's brother 's name.

I doubt that money is an issue for them. The fact is, they seem to have gotten away with taking $2000+, and nothing has come of it, so why even attempt to pay you back or send you the case or anything. They think they are sitting pretty without a care in the world.

Marcel, you honestly need to talk to a lawyer. That is completely bullcrap that theyre getting away with this. Also, contact Western Union to get a copy of the money order you sent ASAP.

This a$$bag bought a few things from me through eBay in January before he changed his username. I think you guys already have his real name as well as his email and physical address, but you can PM me for it if you would like to verify any of it.

what you should do, granted if you have the cash, use the buy it now, pay via paypal...once it reaches you dispute the charge with the reasoning that the 2nd case from this auction never reached you. And that the case you received was the one you paid for how many months agao...I know it is a long shot...and probably not worth it...and high risk...I would just love to see thos Fers get it IDBSVNL!!
