I am a So. Cal. native and have been wearing Oakley's fine products since 1986. No longer collecting actively, I have shifted gears to the customizing of Oakley products. From mild to beyond wild, no Oakley is safe near me. Got my start "chopping" lenses, but have become sought after for all the custom paint, chrome finishes and cerakote coatings I do to the eyewear and watches. Check me out anytime. R.I.P OAKLEY 1975-2007 :( I almost died to collect Oakley....

Oh,and for informational purpose. If you have a spine, use it. If you have character, don't let it be questioned by anyone. If you have a beef, man up and speak your mind!! With that said, enjoy life!

Looks like quite a big work, but I've never been a fan of that type of customs.

BTW, I don't really get the point of copying Tater's job here. No offense, that's just to understand the process.

Is that just to say "look, I can do the same !"

Sure, anybody could draw A Picasso-like portrait. But that doesn't mean there's the same intent and artwork history behind. And that's why Picasso paints are so absurdly expensive.

I 100% prefer when you create and do original stuff. That's when you're at your best.

I see. And figured there would be a degree of "bashing", which I don't mind. 1 thing to. remember, I didn't copy them. These are holbrook not frogs, they are done with slight variations to avoid any potential for grief, and they were done for a major collector who has a few ap I believe. To each his own for sure, and everyone doesn't like everything that I or any others do.

Funny though that level of grief isn't expressed over an atmos theme, blends theme, fade/splatter, Rapha, Night Camo, Blue Camo or any other similar style is done. Or even worse, when images are printed and stuck to something and called "art". Luckily things are what they are and the respective owner is pleased. That's the important part. Would I reproduce them on a frog, no. So have fun with that. And yes, I too have more fun doing my original things. Maybe I'll just charge $1000 plus (not including the glasses) like he does so I don't have to do everyone else's requests..

So here are two pairs I have been working on for a long time. Mainly because as I made mistakes and would decide to strip and start over, I would get frustrated and set them aside. Well, now they are done. And boy are they...

When you can't have an AP Frog, and you damn sure won't pay the ABSURD $1000++ (not including the shades) for a Tater job, what else is one to do? Well, look below, this should answer that question. I introduce to you, the 03/50 and 04/50 themed Holbrooks.

Thanks all...I am enjoying these crazy ideas...Just pops into mind of one of us, and away I go lol. The next pair that is just about ready to be unveiled for Michael will have a dual layered meaning. They are going to really spin heads as well. But that's a bit later this week. In the meanwhile, how about this one??? It's a full custom blended Blue Tungsten Ultrablend Badman with the O Matter portions being Thin Blue Line...Very cool pair too!

I read on Facebook and was confirmed via a family member that Dr.Crip (Steve Weinraub) passed away Monday evening. That is terrible news to hear. Steve was a great guy, funny and way cool to have met him at the Co-Pilot event. RIP Dr.Crip.

Another gem of a Minute Machine on her way home. She was tattered, banged up and in need of some TLC...So she got it. I massaged out the gouges in the Titanium (can't help the few in the Sapphire Crystal), smoothed it out and slapped on a nice Satin Graphite Black Cerakote finish with a custom blended Crimson Red for the Crown, Bolts and Buttons...Don't try this at home kids...

Before I got to cleaning her up

Just a lil HQ Dome theme for a radarlock...Went with more weather/corrosion to the look than a typical silver-esque appearance. Played with this one a few times until I simply liked it.
