Did the KITH frogskins come with a model number on the arm?

I don’t think the original Kith Frogskin had a printed model number. They also came with a white Kith logo at the tip of the earstem. All the ones I know are fakes had a parts # printed in the earstem (a number which doesn’t even correlate to Oakley’s standard numbering) and a black Kith logo at the tip of the earstem. Unless Oakley made a second run that has the same attributes, I would lean towards fake.

Thanks Oak. I had a guy trying to sell me a pair of them. I asked if they had a model number and he gave me this weird conglomeration of numbers. What sucks though is he told me that they were the 5th pair he’s sold to different people.

Given the production run, having 5 or them even sounds fishy.

I haven't had time to check this out in person yet, so I'm wondering if someone is able to verify this ...

According to the database, the Prizm Tungsten lens is listed as not have Iridium, so just the Prizm Bronze base and that's it. Can anyone confirm this? And since i'm asking, what about the Prizm Tungsten Polarized? Yes, that one is in the database as having Iridium, but why not confirm that too. Do either or both have the Tungsten Iridium?

To be honest, I'm not sure. There's never any official information on the lens combos, and even seeing it in person is difficult since the polished lens is often hard to distinguish from an iridium.

I might just be mis-remembering but I don’t think either of them have Iridium. That said, Oakley’s marketing calls it one of their Prizm Iridium lenses.:

I would have said that Prizm Tungsten is an iridium lens. But like plenty of prizm iridium lenses, the iridium isn’t all that reflective.

Perhaps Lux is trying to save money by only coating to 1.5 microns.
They may have assumed we'd not notice, being taken as we must be with Prizm technology.

It depends on the lens. Prizm Snow is the worst. I thought they put in the wrong lens when I first saw it on a WJ2. Turns out they’re all like that, with it difficult to see the Iridium mirror. On the other hand, Prizm Ruby and Sapphire are gloriously mirrored.

Yeah, the Prizm Snow Torch was pretty disappointing. I thought since it was a deep red-on-red, that it was going to be a sweet combo when I saw it in person. As it turns out, the Prizm Rose seriously soakes up the Torch Iridium and ends up being a subtle effect at best.

Tungsten lenses have never been very reflective imo. I have some Prizm tungsten, and they are as reflektive as my other tungsten polarized I think.

I just got ahold of a Prizm Maritime and I find it has a similar issue. At first, the Jade Iridium (it is Jade, right?) seems pretty weak having the green hue only in the center while letting the purple-magenta Prizm base bleed through around the edges. Looking a bit closer, the Iridium actually has a violet hue around the edges; it just so happens the violet looks very similar to the Maritime lens base. So the effect is there, but it can be hard to distinguish without direct sunlight.

Kind of a shame since the Maritime otherwise performs quite nicely. Probably should have just gone with a Black Iridium instead, or even none at all.

They stopped selling them. There were issues with them working in stores, and vice versa ones sold in store don't work online. I believe they are working on a fix.
