I am just very very obsessive about a chosen few particular styles of a single brand of eyewear. Is the court-appointed psychiatrist really necessary?

I asked Peter:

Heater was a reference to throwing a fastball in baseball. The rest were names associated with what was considered cool for the time or descriptive about the lens shapes themselves.
- Dann

Awesome, Dann! I appreciate it!

Does anyone happen to know what inspired Oakley to chose the name Heater for the original M-Frame Heater lens shape?

I was today years old when I learned the names of the various groups of traditional battle shields such as the Kite, the Scuta, and the Iberian, among others. One of the groups is called Heater, and apparently was so popular in one variation or another that it became the most often used shield in Armorial Heraldry. I just couldn't help wondering if this was the inspiration for the name of the lens shape. It certainly wouldn't be out of character for Oakley.

But I digress. Anyone know where the name Heater comes from?

That looks really nice!

I much prefer this new matte coloring over the older paint jobs. I'm glad they went with it on this Red Tiger series.

That came out really nice! The polished metal finish has a very distinct personality to it.

I almost guarantee we are going to see a red tiger racing jacket that will fall under the muzm category - Chattabox23

When that red tiger Radarlock dropped a few years back, I was totally convinced (based on absolutely nothing at all) that a New Racing Jacket version was coming out right behind it. Of course it never did and it took me a few months to realize I only assumed the whole thing and was upset over nothing.

New version or old, red tiger, white tiger, or Bengal, I am very much down for something like that.

Okay, I do like these. I've been mulling a Plazma since they came out but never quite pulled the trigger. This one will probably be it. And the Jawbreaker. And the Radar EV.
