I got the frame only as part of a trade. I tossed in an M-Frame lens, and these kick ass. They are much stronger than the original Blade frame, they fit tighter, and they accommodate a more modern lens. That means that they can be worn without too much thought to them being destroyed, as the lens can be swapped out or replaced before ever being worn. These have made their way into my everyday wearer lineup, and even with a modern M-Frame Sweep lens, they still ooze the cool retro vibe with all the bonuses of many more exciting lens options.

Thank you Oakley for releasing this 20 years after the first generation of Razor Blade. Obviously, I can't say that I had the chance to get the first generation at the time they were made, but I've been falling in love with all the Oakley old school stuff for a few years now.
So just after I was able to get an original Razor Blade Pink/Grey, the New Razor Blade came out with the same color.

Don't need to say that I had to get them !

The fit has been greatly revised and contrary to the first ones who used to be really small, the new generation is really comfortable with curved stems which perfectly take on the shape of the head. This ergonomic shape allows the New Razor blade to be worn for sport despite their lack of earstems Unobtainium pieces. But honestly, I only wear them for style, never for sport.

I would only have a regret, but a very big one :
The stems are not interchangeable ! How can they do that to us ? That was one of the things that made the first generation so cool.

Anyway, I love them, and my advise would be to grab them if you find some in a store, a vault or a retailer that still have them in stock.

Back in the day Razor Blades were arguably the most innovative shades ever witnessed on the eyewear market. Featuring both standard and "trigger" earstems, interchangable nosepieces and lenses, and a variety of colors to choose from, nothing could compare to Oakley's inginuity at the time. For their re-release Oakley also added High Definition Optics to ensure maximum visual acuity.

Even though these glasses were incredibly unique and successful, however, I don't think they'd be something I'd wear today (personal preference). They somehow look old... outdated... archaic. Then again, no one can deny that the Razor Blades are an indispensible part of Oakley's heritage. Even for me, the Razor Blades were the pair that planted the eternal seed of commitment to the O.

Frame: PINK/Black
Lens: Grey

I was surprised yet excited when Oakley decided to do a re-release and update with some of their original frames. The construction of the new frames will not require the use of the "FRAME TOOL" (aka guitar pick) to change the stems and provide a more durable product. These frames are extremely light weight and the clarity and coverage of the HDO lens is incredible. I can't wait to wear them this summer.

My second old-school re-release pair. It's like owning a piece of Oakley history, but with new and improved technology.

The Matte Clear frame has a real retro look to it, what makes it very appealing to me, combined with the bold Blue Iridium makes it a truely unique piece in my collection. Also the old-school stretch logo in blue on the earstem proves the quality in detail of these glasses. Great pair for those retro days!

These rock. I love the shape of the ear stems, plus that bright neon yellow frame takes you back to the 80s. I wish Oakley updated ear stems with some ear socks but with the shape it would be a little difficult. I also like how Oakley remade the old clear boxes. I originally bought them off eBay for $50 and planned to resell them but now I think I'll keep them :D

Cool retro look. I was unsatisfied with the grey lens it came with so I removed it and placed a G26 M-frame Replacement Lens in the frame. It fits very nicely and gives more of an original blade feel. Unfortianlty the grey lens I removed will not fit in my M-frames but with the white frame and green lens it looks awesome.

Not as flashy as the other Razorblades but still nice. The polished white is always good choice of frames. The grey lens is a little boring. I would've preferred the blue iridium on these. Again, frame is very comfortable and eye coverage is excellent.

Very unique pair of sunglasses. The matte clear frame is a very nice frame option. It looks great combined with the Blue Iridium lens. The frame itself is very comfortable and light weight. Eye coverage is excellent. One great revision to the originals on these is that the earstems are made more round. This makes them a lot more durable from the originals which broke easily.

I was worried about these going for good so i thought now is the time. Im a big fan of all the clear frames and this is no exception, an old frame colour perfectly revived for a new frame. if only they did this more.
the metalic shiny blue stretch logo looks gorgeous against the matte clear frame and the blue iridium is just as bright as it always was.

Bringing back the 80's with this pair. I really like the improvements that Oakley made on these from the original Razor Blades. These feel a lot stronger to me than they were back in the day. I like that Black/Hot pink color scheme a lot. The contrast looks great. This is a very light weight frame and the eye coverage is awesome.

These are great because they are so distinct. What is great about these is that you can customize them w/ your M Frame lenses. So throw in a Heater or Sweep Fire lens with a white nosepad! Just be careful b/c you can get stress cracks.

These are great! My buddy at the O-Store has the Neon Yellow/Fire and we wear them to see how people respond! It's fantastic!

Tried one of these babies in the montreal O store and it will definatly be my next pair.they have awesome coverage as espected and the colour combination just drives me crazy creating and amazing contrast.and they are also really light the only problem i would say is the loose fit on your face

These certainly have their niche out there. For days when you want to flaunt the love of Oakley and say "Hey, yeah I look dorky, but I love them!".

I remember way back when the original Blades came out so these where a nice rush of nostalgia for me. Despite being based on a very old design, they're still quite functional. They're quite comfortable, thought not as much as the M-frames, and the lenses provide ample coverage. These are cool. Almost enough to make me wanna grow out an 80s mullet. Almost.

Very nice. Even though it's a retooled old model, compared to the fashion that's coming out, I'm all into it. The three Grey models didn't do anything for me, but this and the Fire look nice. It's very comfortable and covers the sun completely. I highly recommend.

I admit I was scepitcal about an old school re-release, but these are amazing, and still look cool (if a little retro) today. Having tried them on in my dealer the other day, they fit nicely and seem to have been built well - they look much better in the flesh than in the photos.

first of all i think it cray-z they brought them back now as for the glasses them selves they are grate i love the way they sit on my face the lens is just the perfect size they offer good coverage but at the same time they don't look to big very comfortable i can wear this pair all day fives skulls
