Does any one know the lens transmission percentage of Chrome iridium? I didn't see any thing on O.com or here...

Not yet, if it makes it to a non-exclusive frame, then maybe they'll add it to the website, but until then it ends up like many of the specialized lenses and is never officially known.

Maybe some of the people that have it can give us an idea of a lens color to compare it to...

They only info I could give you on this lens is not as dark as a black iridium but not as light as a slate iridium and this color or lens (chrome) is supper easy to clean

I've had them on...and to be honest...I don't find them much darker than the VR50 Emeralds I was wearing at the time...so I'm guessing somewhere around 25-30%. They're a great dusk sunglass. Now if only I could find the ones I want.

That would make it lighter than Slate Iridium, and mine don't seem to be lighter than Slate - I would guess around 15%-20%.

15-20% seems abt right to me as well

Yeah they look darker than they really are, but they do look killer with the clear frames, SGH hit a home run with their oil rig, IMHO.

My sources say that is a dead lens. Once Sunglass Icon is out of them they are done. So grab them while you can.

Chrome Iridium is a light grey lens w/ a heavy black iridium to make it as dark as Black Iridium and give is a more silver mirror. Definitely not dead. Look for it in some square O frames for 2009.

I've only seen Chrome Iridium in a couple models, but I figure having Chrome Iridium and Black Iridium in the same lineup would be redundant. They look so similar. Then again, with all the shades of the grey lens that's currently available, it's not a surprise.

Yeah sometimes tints are so similar to others I wonder why they get mass release; Tungsten, Warm Grey, etc, theres just so many unique lens they can invent before you end up with results like those fake lens on Ebay with the cryptic names lol

I don't really think that any of the lenses are redundant as everyone's eyes work differently. I love warm grey and hate dark grey. They look similar, but work very differently. My buddy has the opposite reaction. Tungsten is just a better looking Gold Iridium.
