Another sweet sunglass model I have been ogling for quite some time and only pulled the trigger when I came across one of those hidden jems of an Ebay listing. I've always been a bit uncomfortable wearing metal eyewear (kinda concerned about what I'm gonna do if I ever actually need to wear RX), so this stands as a testament to the Hatchet design as being so attractive that I put aside my somewhat irrational fear in favor of owning yet another piece of Oakley wearable art. While the orbitals are small and cover like the Twenty, the stems and wrap are certainly not. The fit is very wide and comfortably sits on my massive cranium. A strange paradigm of being both big and small simultaneously. Despite their praise by collectors, I suppose I can see why these didn't quite catch on during their prime. What I am surprised by though, is why Oakley didn't try again with a more balanced redesign later. All the pieces certainly seem to be here. Too bad.
