I know this isn't a special edition of any kind, but I treat it as such regardless. This piece exemplifies the kind of Oakley colorway I crave - a dark metallic frame with a hypnotic red lens! In this case, the +Red does quite nicely, and it's Polarized! The addition of the dark grey Alinghi jaws rounds out the color balance very well. While it's true I could just as easily have found this same colorway in a number of X-Metal models, but to find it on a Switchlock frame like the Split Jacket makes it all the more perfect. And of course, this one ends up being the first real addition to my shelf-whore stash. I would have thought i'd be rockin' these constantly, when in truth they rarely leave the box. Until I get around to getting a display case ... then they will never leave the case!
